I've been anxiously anticipating this full length ever since Holy Page released one of the best singles of the year "Forgiving Eyes" back in February. Well now it's here and it's one of the best, most straight forward records I've listened to in a long while. 10 tracks, one dude, kiiiillliinnngggg it, there's not a miss on this, perfect listen the whole way through, get your grubbers on this tape.
So this came out a month ago, quite a testament to how bad I've been at this all summer, well in any case, I'm going to post a photo of the back cover so you can see how stacked it is. For a while now, Holy Page has been consistently giving us quality full lengths, ep's, singles and some of the most unique artwork around right now, this compilation is a congenial collaboration between eclectic yet like minded individuals. Get into it and buy the tape, more new Holy Page stuff to be posted soon, there's since been new records from Hleger, Girlhood, Plaens and just today another new one from arcsin(100).
If you've listened to the radio show in the past month, then you know that's I've been touting arcsin(100)'s "Forgiving Eyes" as possibly the best, if not at least my personal favorite single of 2011. Well last week Holy Page released this record which was made back in 2006, sounds like it might've been made earlier this afternoon and definitely worth the grab. I'll throw two tracks from it down below and just for good measure "Forgiving Eyes" as well.
While we're on the subject of Holy Page, I wanna throw down one more single that was released last week on there, this one comes in from Discotays and you'll be hearing it tomorrow night on the show.
The very first release is from a series recorded between Portland and D.C. in 2008/09, called I've Been Franklin, that's the artwork below and two songs from Settling The Score.
and finally, perhaps my favorite thing on here yet, is this single from Arcsin(100). I know nothing about it, but this song seriously rules, check out the artwork and listen to it below.
