RCRC is proud to present: Ailanthus Recordings

So back in August I made an announcement on Facebook that I, on behalf of Roberto Clemente Rookie Card, would begin the next phase of this infinite project that is whatever this all is. A physical record label. Ailanthus Recordings is that next step, idealized as a means to "place the sound of the internet into your hands". Ailanthus Recordings has now launched featuring 10 releases from 9 artists, limited editions of 50 CD-R's, each in individually handmade cardboard slipcases with full color original artwork.

Not sure if it's bad form to say or not to say something, but huggggeeee props to Hleger for that song just above, not only is it a really badass song but in case you didn't gather; Song for Scott could also read Song for Yours Truly. Really flattered and honored to have my namesake on such a perfect song from one of my favorite artists and friends, word man.

Next up from Cape Town is a collection of source that was released back in June, features some singles, pop hooks and as would be expected heavy experimentation. make sure to pick this one up too, to listen to right after you finish Huskan the Heavy I.

So this came out a month ago, quite a testament to how bad I've been at this all summer, well in any case, I'm going to post a photo of the back cover so you can see how stacked it is. For a while now, Holy Page has been consistently giving us quality full lengths, ep's, singles and some of the most unique artwork around right now, this compilation is a congenial collaboration between eclectic yet like minded individuals. Get into it and buy the tape, more new Holy Page stuff to be posted soon, there's since been new records from Hleger, Girlhood, Plaens and just today another new one from arcsin(100).

It features new music and old music (talk about old music - one of these tracks was recorded when he was only 3 years old) as well as a few from the early half of last decade. Stoked to see Hleger working with HOLY PAGE, this is his latest and word in the tunnels is he'll be working on some videos next, we'll keep you posted on however that shapes up.

That hiatus is just about done..

So (before and) after my last RCRC radio show, this page was on a sort of hiatus. I've still been keeping up with the facebook page as well as constant connection and collaboration with the SEWER GREATS stable (shittttssss happeninnnn). But I am pleased to say that I'll be back on and up and on with RCRC once more here within this week. I'm gonna have posts up regarding a new Lockbox soundscape, that BOY MTN/Christian Church split on HOLY PAGE, the new ARC ep, the Good Amount full length, Wayne Water's 26-song epic The Vulture is finally finished, Some exclusive Sunflower Spectacle stuff as well as news regarding the new record, My Idea of Fun's explicit involvement with Judgement Day and 2, count 'em 2 new Hleger full lengths. Lot's more where that's all coming from, some news on new comps coming in the coming weeks, a new weekly feature on the site called "RCRC Radio" and that's not everything lined up. This summer rules. This year rules.

This is the newest full length from S. Africa's prodigal son. Cathaya Den Chow Chow is the cell-phone-recorded story of Chow-Chow being stuck on a planet of vicious aliens after a scientific experiment goes very wrong. Hleger's one of my favorite and in my opinion one of the most unique voices in audio right now, every/anyone would be a damn fool to ignore what this guy's doing.
